Growing up in an active household, I fell in love with baseball. I did everything I could to build myself into a better athlete. Entering High School at 5' 6”, 120lbs I set the goal to earn varsity letters and play collegiately. I need to be bigger and stronger. Functional Strength Training became my way of life. It has enabled me to continue to play at a high level and remain injury free into my 30s.

Leigh Dawson

Education: B.A. Muhlenberg College, Political Science, B.S. Immaculata University, Exercise Science

Why I train:

As a college athlete, I was told after several injuries that my body was just not made for running and basketball, and that unless I gave them up, I would continue to suffer injuries. I refused to believe that my body was simply incapable of these activities, and I began to research functional exercises that would help my body handle the strain. Ten years later, I count trail running as one of my favorite activities! I love to help others break that train of thought that they simply can't participate in their favorite activities anymore.
